To enhance recruitment and retention, Community Memorial Hospital offers financial assistance to students enrolled in nursing degree programs, specifically that of Registered Nurses.

Eligibility
You must be accepted and/or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program. You must be attending school as a full or part time student and remain in that status. You must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Criteria
Selection is based on personal interviews with candidates to evaluate their work ethic, enthusiasm, and customer service skills. A transcript of candidates' grades and references are reviewed as well.

Awards

• Scholarships are awarded up to $750 per semester. The amount will be prorated for part-time students. The number of scholarships awarded may vary by semester.
• Scholarships are for tuition only.
• Recipients are required to make a six-month commitment to work at Community Memorial Hospital as a staff nurse for each semester the scholarship is awarded.
• Employment with Community Memorial Hospital must begin within 30 days of graduation, on a full time basis (24 or more hours per week).
